The project will realign the intersection and add a new traffic signal, which will make the area much safer, township officials said.
The new traffic signal will also help slow traffic on that section of Easton Road.

It will also provide a connection to the Tinius Olsen Inc. company employees who have to make lefts in and out going to work, township officials stated.
The project is also jointly planned with the Horsham Water and Sewer Authority so they can install a public sewer line down Moreland Avenue from Hallowell Elementary to Easton Road to serve several residential properties whose private septic systems are failing.
Township officials said they won’t have to dig up the road after the new paving.
"Finally, we are being proactive for the future redevelopment of the Navy Base and designed the intersection for the same so it doesn’t have to be redone in the future," officials said.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
