Montco HS Teacher Invited To NASA Launch

A local teacher is on site for the launch of a NASA resupply flight to the International Space Station.

ROYERSFORD, PA – A Spring-Ford Area School District teacher has been invited to a NASA launch.

Dan Leppold was invited to join the NASA Social team for the March 22 Orbital ATK OA-6 Cargo Resupply Flight to the International Space Station, the school district announced Monday morning.

Liftoff of the rocket and spaceship is scheduled for 11:05 p.m. on March 22.

Prior to launch, Leppold will visit the launchpad and NACA facilities, meet with flight engineers and astronauts, and attend launch control during the rocket liftoff and spaceship deployment.

Leppold, a Penn State grad with a Masters in Geoscience, said his main focus will be to document the events so that he may share the experience with Spring-Ford students.

Monday, March 21:
