Here are a few summertime tips to keep in mind:
- Motorists should be extra cautious while driving through the township's neighborhoods. With school out, more children will be playing outside. Watch carefully for kids on bikes, scooters, or playing games near the streets.
- Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the summer heat. Drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and seek shade during the hottest parts of the day.
- If you're hitting the pool or heading to the beach, remember to swim with caution and supervise children at all times—practice water safety by following all lifeguard instructions.
- Don't forget pets. As temperatures rise, keeping pets cool and hydrated is incredibly important. Provide them with plenty of fresh water and never leave them in a parked car as it can quickly become dangerously hot.
"Share your summer fun with us," the township posted on its Facebook page. "We'd love to see your adventures, whether exploring local parks, visiting the Horsham Township Library, or discovering Horsham's hidden gems."
