Serial Vehicle Break-Ins Rock Hatboro

Vehicle break-ins are becoming an epidemic in the Hatboro and Horsham area.

Multiple vehicles were broken into overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday in Hatboro, police announced.

Most of the activity occurred on the west side of the borough. Vehicles were parked in driveways and on the streets.

The affected areas included W. Moreland Avenue, Franklin Avenue, Home Road, Shirley Road, Norwyn Road and Crescent Road.

In one incident, the suspect used an automatic garage door opener found in a vehicle to open the home’s garage,

There was no evidence of forcible entry to any of the vehicles, as all appeared to have been left unlocked.

Break-ins have quickly become an epidemic in the Hatboro and Horsham area, having been reported multiple times in the past few months.

Police believe the incidents are connected. They advise residents to always take the following precautions:

1. Lock all doors.

2. Roll up all windows.

3. Remove all valuables from plain sight.

4. If possible park in a well lit area.

Residents are also reminded to dial 9-11 to report any suspicious activity.
