Suspect In Custody After Standoff Ends At Horsham Home: Police

Update: 11 a.m. Tuesday

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A suspect who held police and a SWAT team at bay for several hours Tuesday morning has been taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

A shelter-in-place was ordered due to police activity on Tuesday morning in the township's Horshamtowne section.

Authorities said a SWAT team was called for a barricade situation and residents were ordered to shelter in place

Action News 6 said there are reports of a person with a gun inside the home. Officials said police were initially called out for a domestic situation.

There are no reported injuries.

Drivers dealt with delays with Country Road closed to traffic at Witmer Avenue.

The Hatboro-Horsham School District said that bus access will be limited due to the police activity. Impacted families will be notified through the Here Comes the Bus app.
