Special Road Restrictions Set For Fireworks Show In Hatboro
Hatboro officials have put some measures in place around the Pennypack Community Center due to the final Music in the Meadow event Friday.

HATBORO, PA —With fireworks planned Friday night for the last Music in the Meadow event of the year, borough officials have announced special restrictions around the Pennypack Community Center.
The event takes place between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Pennypack Community at 130 Spring Ave.
To celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of a fun-filled fall, the event will include games, vendors, food trucks, Bucks Bubbles activities for kids, and a special fireworks display beginning at 8 p.m.

There will be special restrictions in the neighborhood of West Lehman Avenue and the Spring Avenue Loop as follows:
- Parking will not be permitted at the Pennypack Community Center at any time during the event. All attendees are encouraged to park in the Bank Street Municipal Parking Lot located off of West Lehman Avenue.
- Fire Police will be stationed near the entrance of the Bank Street Municipal Lot to help guide attendees. Parking is also available on numerous side streets in the surrounding neighborhood.
- If you utilize on-street parking, please make sure your vehicle is lawfully parked and is not blocking driveways of those within the neighborhoods.
- Handicap parking is available by request at the Pennypack Facility. Please contact Borough Hall at 215-443-9100 prior to the event if you require a handicap parking space.
Streets restricted to local traffic only starting at 6 p.m.:

- Spring Avenue (entire length)
- South Chester Avenue (from Spring Avenue to West Lehman Avenue)
- West Lehman Avenue (from Bank Street to Spring Avenue)
Residents in these areas will still have access to their homes throughout the night of the event. Residents should be prepared to provide their address to Fire Police personnel when accessing any areas closed to traffic by Fire Police.
These restrictions will allow emergency personnel to have quick and easy access to the Pennypack Community Center and the fireworks area throughout the event.
- The Fireworks Show will begin at 8 p.m. Once the fireworks show begins, no vehicular traffic will be permitted on Spring Avenue until the display has concluded. The show is expected to last approximately 10-15 minutes.
Here are some tips for those attending:
- Remember to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the fireworks display. A map detailing the viewing area is attached to this post. Attendees should not enter the Fireworks Discharge area at any time before, during, or after the display.
- There is a walking trail that connects the Bank Street Parking Lot with the back of the Pennypack Property. If you park in the Bank Street Lot, follow the path towards the Pennypack School for easy access to the event.
- Lawn games will be available for attendees to play during the event, but you are welcome to bring your own as well.
- If your children plan on participating in the Bucks Bubbles activity, we recommend bringing a swimsuit/water shoes, or a change of clothes.
