St. Vincent Food Pantry Needs Donations

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —With September being Hunger Action Month, township officials and State Rep. Melissa Cerrato are urging residents to provide donations to the township's local food pantry.

Township officials said donations are needed for SVDP at St. Catherine of Siena in Horsham, which serves 70 to 100 local families weekly.

The food pantry needs personal hygiene products and non-perishable food products.

The SVDP food pantry not only provides food but also financial assistance and classes/programs to help families get back on their feet.

Cerrato recently visited and volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Conference and Food Pantry.

"It was truly inspiring to see the dedication and hard work of the volunteers who tirelessly support our community," Cerrato said.

The SVDP Conference and Food Pantry play a crucial role in providing essential services to those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to food and support. Their commitment to helping others is a testament to the strength and compassion of our community.

September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about hunger in America and inspire action. Every action―big or small―is one step closer to an America where no one is hungry. When people are fed, our futures are nourished, and we can all reach our full potential, Feeding America said on its website.

"As a member of the Human Services Committee, I am always looking for ways to support the most vulnerable in our communities and I am proud to partner with SVDP in their efforts," Cerrato said.

• Diapers - Any size and wipes
• Beef Stew
• Knorr Sides
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Canned soup - any kind
• Canned Veggies - Any Kind
• Beans
• Canned Potatoes
• Canned Fruit
• Juices
• Pasta Sauce
• Spaghetti
• Canned Pasta Sauce
• Granola Bars
• Crackers
