Township Manager Bill Walker told Patch Tuesday that a decision was made to postpone the event on Friday, not knowing then when snow would arrive.

Walker said township officials are expected to announce a new date next week. He said the rescheduled event may take place in early April "to let this winter weather fade away."

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County sent out an email Friday afternoon alerting of the postponement.

"On behalf of the Horsham Business Association and Horsham Township, I am reaching out to you because you either are registered for the State of Horsham or you are on the waiting list. We do not know exactly what the weather will be like on Feb. 11th, it may snow, it may be sunny, it may rain, we just don’t know; however, the weather forecasts as of today are predicting snow for Feb. 11, said Pamela Kelly, the chamber's president and chief executive. "With all the logistics to include the catering and behind the scenes, we have decided not to take a risk and to postpone the event to a later date. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you at the event in the near future."

The "State of Horsham" breakfast includes networking and a presentation from Walker.

The meeting gives residents the chance to meet local leaders and professionals while gaining insights into Horsham’s progress and vision for the future.

Walker will also discuss the latest news on new development projects, progress on various township infrastructure projects, and what's planned for Horsham Township this year and beyond.
