Tony-Award Winning Play Coming To Hatboro

The play, set locally, is the "perfect recipe for disaster and laughter."

The Village Players of Hatboro kicks off the new year with the Tony Award Winning Best Play: Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike, the announced Tuesday on their website.

This hilarious blockbuster, written by three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang, runs Fridays and Saturdays, January 8th through the 23rd, with two Sunday matinees on January 10 and 17:

Set in pastoral Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Vanya and Sonia waste their lives in their family’s farmhouse amid regret, angst, and the alarming prophecies of their seemingly psychic housekeeper. Their peaceful, if boring, day is shaken up by the unexpected arrival of their self-absorbed movie star sister, Masha, as well as her boy toy Spike. Throw in a cute young girl from down the street, and it’s the perfect recipe for disaster and laughter.
