Two Suspects Identified In Montgomery County Killing: DA

The two men allegedly entered a man's home in Lower Moreland on September 27 and killed him.

Two suspects in the killing of a Lower Moreland man in late September have been identified, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday morning.

Desmond O. Smith, 20, and Naadir Abdul-Ali, 20, are being charged with murder and related offenses, the DA said.

They allegedly were involved with the death of Kevin Brown, 53, who was killed in his home on 2388 Philmont Avenue in the Huntingdon Valley section of Lower Moreland Township on September 27.

Officers arriving on the scene at about 11:10 p.m. found Brown lying on the lawn of his residence. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Preliminary hearings for both Abdul-Ali and Smith will be scheduled in the near future.
