UPDATE: Upper Moreland Standoff Ends Peacefully

A standoff that prompted an Upper Moreland Township neighborhood to be put on lockdown Wednesday morning has ended peacefully, according to NBC 10.

The news network reported that a man who barricaded himself inside a home near Abbeyview Avenue and Davisville Road for four hours eventually surrendered.

The Associated Press reported that police, followed by a SWAT team, responded to the neighborhood around 4 a.m.

The man, who was immediately identified, has been taken into custody, NBC10 said.
