Veterans Day Honored This Week In Hatboro
The Union Library of Hatboro holds an event on Friday while the Lehman Memorial Methodist Church holds a Veterans Day event on Wednesday.

HATBORO, PA —Two events are planned this week to celebrate Veterans Day ahead of Monday's holiday.
The Union Library of Hatboro will hold its first Veterans Day symposium from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday at the library at 243 S. York Rd.
Library Director Christine Law said the symposium features a full day of speakers and presentations that are open to the public.

Speakers will be from out of state as well as locals and include a 93-year-old veteran and a marine who was part of the team that took down Osama Ben Laden, Law said.
State Rep. Nancy Guenst, who represents Hatboro, and State Sen. Maria Collett are expected to make appearances.

Meanwhile, BAYADA Hospice is inviting the local community to celebrate veteran hospice patients and volunteers during a Veterans Day pinning ceremony and luncheon, virtually or in person.
The event takes place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lehman Memorial Methodist Church, 300 S. York Rd., Hatboro, with remarks at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately following. Interview, photo, and b-roll opportunities are available.
As part of BAYADA Hospice’s Veteran Volunteer Program, veterans using hospice services for end-of-life care are paired with fellow veteran volunteers to help patients feel more at ease with companionship and support.
BAYADA accepts new hospice volunteers from all backgrounds and encourages military veterans to apply by emailing BAYADA Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Suzanne Pepe at spepe@bayada.com.
