'Virtual' Santa, Decorating Contest Highlight Hatboro Holiday Events

HATBORO, PA —Santa Claus is coming to town in the form of social media next week in the borough.

Santa will be visiting Hatboro on Tuesday, Dec. 20, for a special virtual letter-reading event, borough officials have announced.

Children of Hatboro are welcome to drop off their letters for Santa at Borough Hall (temporarily located at the Pennypack Facility - 130 Spring Avenue) during business hours or in a special drop box located outside of the building.

All letters dropped off will be read on Facebook Live (on the Borough of Hatboro's Facebook Page) by Santa himself beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In other Hatboro holiday happenings, there's still time to enter your home or business in the Hatboro Holiday Decorating Contest.

Entries are being accepted through Dec. 27 and the borough promises to have lots of "fantastic prizes."

"We cannot wait to see all of the wonderful decorations throughout Hatboro," borough officials said.

All residents and business owners participating in the contest must email photos of your Holiday Decorating Contest to Danielle Pettinato at dpettinato@myhatboro.org on or before Dec. 21.

Winners will be announced following the holidays.
