Local Jon Van Dine is thriving as part of indie-pop group CRUISR.

Local band CRUISR has come a long way since the band’s first EP was recorded in a Philadelphia bedroom.
Today, the band is getting ready to release their second EP while in the midst of a national tour that will take them across the Midwest to Denver and Salt Lake City before coming back to Philadelphia again.
The band’s drummer is Hatboro-Horsham High School graduate Jon Van Dine, and he has a simple, straightforward vision.

Van Dine and CRUISR are set to headline a show at Underground Arts on July 16th in Philadelphia. Then they head Dekalb, Des Moines, and points west.
“I have an obsession with writing pop music and the idea that songs can transcend people,” says singer and guitarist Andy States.
In addition to States and Van Dine, the band is rounded out by bassist Kyle Cook and guitarist Bruno Catrambone.
The music video for the first single off the EP, “All Over,” features animations from dozens of movies. Can you name them all?
