Water Rescue Made In Horsham Flooding
Friday morning, a driver tried to go around a barricade on Keith Valley Road and got stranded in high waters, according to police.

HORSHAM, PA — With the area under a flood watch, emergency crews in Horsham had to rescue a driver who got stuck in high water Friday morning.
At about 7:30 a.m., a driver drove around a barricade on Keith Valley Road, between County Line and Davis Grove roads, and into high waters, said Horsham Police Department Lt. K. John Potts.
The vehicle stalled out in the high water with the driver trapped inside, Potts said. Horsham Fire Company and other emergency responders were called to rescue the driver, who was not injured, and tow the vehicle from the flooded roadway.

Chief Lee Greenberg, of the fire company, confirmed the rescue, saying fire crews assisted the man, whom he described as elderly, out of harm's way and to higher ground.
The rescue came amidst heavy rains as the Horsham area was under a flood watch on Friday. The watch began at midnight Thursday and runs through late Friday night. According to the National Weather Service, the area was forecast to get 2-3 inches of rain.

That much rain "could cause significant street flooding (especially in areas where drains are clogged with leaves) and we'll also have to keep an eye on creeks, streams and other waterways," the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety said on Facebook.
