West Moreland Avenue Bridge To Open Ahead Of Schedule
Hatboro officials were told Thursday that the bridge construction is about 14 months ahead of schedule and may open in November.
HATBORO, PA — The West Moreland Avenue Bridge is expected to reopen in early November, borough officials said Thursday.
While an exact reopening date has not yet been provided, borough officials said that Montgomery County has indicated that the project is currently running about 14 months ahead of schedule.
Borough officials said, though, that there is still the potential for unforeseen delays.

"As we approach the end of paving season, weather conditions could impact the remaining work," officials said.
Items that must still be completed prior to reopening the roadway include, but are not limited to:

- Paving
- Line striping
- Guide rail installation
- Barrier wall railing installation
- Signage installation
In addition, site cleanup activities are ongoing as the contractor prepares to demobilize by the end of October.
"This is tremendous news for our community, and we are very pleased to see the project progressing ahead of schedule," officials said. "We appreciate everyone’s patience throughout the construction process and look forward to reopening this important roadway connection."
