
The first bell on the 2015-16 school year is about to ring and that means parents need to get their calendars in order. To help out, we’ve compiled a listing of important dates in the coming year:
- Student Orientation for Grades K, 5 and 9: September 3
- First Day of School: September 8
- Rosh Hashanah (No School): September 14
- Yom Kippur (No School): September 23
- Staff Development (No School for Students): October 2
- Election Day (No School): November 3
- Early Dismissal Tuesday: November 10
- Fall Conferences: November 24 (Students attend full day - Evening Conferences) and November 25 (No School for students - Morning Conferences)
- Thanksgiving Break: November 26 and 27
- Winter Recess: December 24 - January 1
- School Resumes: January 4
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (No School): January 18
- Early Dismissal Tuesday: February 2
- Staff Development Day (No School): February 12
- President’s Day (No School): February 15
- Early Dismissal Tuesday (Elementary/middle school only): March 8
- Spring Conferences: March 22 (1/2 day for students - Afternoon Conferences) and March 23 (1/2 day for students - Afternoon Conferences)
- Spring Break: March 24 - March 28
- School Resumes: March 29
- Early Dismissal Tuesday: April 12
- Staff Development Day (No School, Primary Election): April 26
- Memorial Day (No School): May 30
- Early Dismissal Tuesday: June 7
- Last student day: June 15, 2016
- Last staff day: June 17
- Make up dates: June 16, June 17, June 20, June 21, June 22
