The goal of the competition was to promote and demonstrate a specific technological product. The Eastern team chose a product called ACES (Accessibility, Convenience, Ease and Shareable) in which the Dropbox tool was used. Dropbox is an example of cloud storage in which the user can save a file once and have access to it anywhere and anytime via computer, phone, and Dropbox Web site. The student competitors presented a product PowerPoint to a panel of judges and created a products brochure and banners to accompany the presentation.

Eastern computer network administration students must pass the Certified Linux Administrator exam in the first year of the program and are prepared for two other industry certification exams: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and Novell Certified Administrator.
