Woman Charged In Hatboro Hit-And-Run That Injured Bicylist

Hatboro Borough Police said a woman was taken into custody on Friday for the accident on South York Road on March 30.

HATBORO, PA — A woman faces several charges involving her involvement in an incident in which a pedestrian was struck on South York Road on March 30, police said.

The Hatboro Borough Police Department has charged 52-year-old Orsolya Bereznai with an accident involving a death or personal injury, an accident involving damage to a vehicle or property, and failure to stop and give information or render aid.

She surrendered on the outstanding arrest warrant on Friday and is awaiting arraignment, police said.

Police officers responded to the intersection of South York Road and School Road on March 30 for a vehicle accident involving a struck pedestrian.

Officers found that the striking vehicle had left the scene.

The vehicle was described as a black SUV with a partial tag of MTX and was being operated by a woman,

The investigation uncovered a video that captured the accident where it appears that the striking vehicle is a black Toyota or Toyota Highlander.

Police said the video shows the black SUV strike the juvenile bicyclist right in the middle of the intersection.

The black SUV is then seen pulling over to the side of the road for a very brief period of time and then driving away northbound on South York Road, police said.
