Pedestrian Improvements Project Delayed In Hatboro
PennDOT has announced that roadwork, expected to begin Monday, has been delayed in Hatboro.

HATBORO, PA —York Road, a state highway, was expected to undergo road improvements starting Monday in a project that PennDOT said would last four months.
But officials said at the Hatboro Council committee meeting Monday night that the project has been delayed.
Borough officials said the contractor found some issues that need to be straightened out before the project can begin.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that Hatboro Borough will be performing roadway improvements on Route 263 (York Road) with weekday lane closures expected for motorists.
The work is associated with pedestrian improvements at York and Summit, York and Williams, and Jacksonville and Meadowbrook.

Borough officials said the work will "greatly improve safety and accessibility" within the borough.
Hatboro Borough will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
The projects include crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Williams, crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Summit, and the installation of an overhead flasher at Jacksonville and Meadowbrook.
These projects are being performed with assistance from $274,056 in grant funding from the DCED Multimodal Transportation Fund, $83,550 in funding from the ARLE Grant Program, and $142,748.00 in grant funding from the Montgomery County Transportation Program.
