York Road Pedestrian Improvements Project Delayed In Hatboro
Hatboro officials said there are underground utility projects. Find out below when the work will resume.

HATBORO, PA —Underground utility conflicts will delay two York Road pedestrian improvement projects, borough officials have announced.
Officials said that the contractor for the pedestrian improvement projects at York/Williams and York/Summit informed the borough that they would not be performing any site work due to conflicts with underground utilities.
The contractor said the work would start on Jan. 8.

The contractor has secured all job sites and is currently working with the borough engineer to determine a schedule for when work resumes on Jan. 8.
PennDOT said the work on York Road, a state highway, is expected to last four months.

Borough officials said the work will "greatly improve safety and accessibility" within the borough.
The projects include crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Williams, crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Summit, and the installation of an overhead flasher at Jacksonville and Meadowbrook.
Borough officials said they would share the new schedule with residents and motorists as soon as it is available and will continue to provide updates on these projects as they progress.
