York Road Section Closed Due To Wawa Work
Hatboro officials issued a traffic advisory Wednesday morning for the new Wawa construction off Horsham Road.

HATBORO, PA —York Road will be closed for the next hour due to work associated with the Wawa project.
Borough officials issued a traffic advisory Wednesday morning, stating that York Road is currently closed to Southbound traffic from Horsham Road to Crooked Billet Road due to work associated with the Wawa project.
Borough officials said they spoke with contractors at the site and they are expecting this closure to remain in effect for an hour as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area if possible until the southbound lanes are reopened, borough officials stated.
Work is progressing on the new 5,585-square-foot Wawa convenience store, a store that has caused controversy for years after the borough lost a court battle to try and prevent it.

Crews are at work building the foundation for the store, with plans calling for six gas pumping stations and 54 parking spots.
The Wawa isn't expected to be completed until the end of the year with the building taking at least six months to construct, borough officials said.
