The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and the Borough of Hatboro are teaming up to host a Zoom call on Wednesday for the Lawn to Meadow Initiative.

Borough Manager Diane Hegele told Patch Monday that the Zoom meeting will inform residents about the DCNR Lawn Conversion Program, the benefits of lawn conversion, and the maintenance for such projects. Photos will also be displayed so residents can know what to expect from the process.

"We want residents to get more on board with lawn conversion so they don't have to mow grass," Hegele said.

She said borough officials, specifically Councilman Alex Myers, have been working with the DCNR after receiving some funding for projects. The borough has four lined up for the fall of 2023, including one involving the Pennypack property, and would like resident input regarding projects for next spring.
