• Longwood Gardens Turns Back the Clock With 'Electric 80s' (mychesco.com) — Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square is hosting its 'Electric 80s' Fireworks & Fountains Show on Saturday, Sept. 26, with reserved seating and all-day garden access included in the ticket price. Guests can enjoy Jazz Age tunes in the Beer Garden beforehand, then settle in for an 8:15 p.m. fountain and fireworks spectacular set to classic 1980s hits.
   

• Police: Knife-wielding man arrested after music volume dispute in Kennett Twp. (delcotimes.com) — A Kennett Township tenant dispute over loud music escalated into a knife confrontation, leading to aggravated assault and related charges against 26-year-old Kevin Perez. After initially fleeing, Perez was arrested the next day on West Baltimore Pike with help from Kennett Square Borough police and is being held on $100,000 bail ahead of a Sept. 23 preliminary hearing.
