MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Mosquito spraying will be conducted in Montgomery Township next week as West Nile continues to be found around the county.
The spraying will be held on Monday, Aug. 31 from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will focus on Windlestrae Park:
Late summer is traditionally peak mosquito season, when heat and high humidity accelerate breeding.
Montgomery Township's spraying comes after Norristown Farm Park and Upper Merion's Heuser Park and Schuylkill River Trail were sprayed this week.
Crews will spray product, likely Duet Duel-Action adulticide, from an all terrain vehicle ultra low volume sprayer.
Residents nearby are typically advised to close their windows and avoid going outside during the spray time.
