You will produce a set of ice cream bowls, which will act as an invitation to an ice cream party the following week.

Make it, glaze it, then celebrate with ice cream! 🍦
In this two-part ceramics experience, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing while creating your own set of handmade ice cream bowls—then come back the following week to enjoy them in the sweetest way possible.
Week One: Get hands-on at the pottery wheel as you’re guided through forming and shaping your own bowls. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to get back into clay, this session focuses on foundational throwing techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Your pieces will then be trimmed, glazed, and fired by the studio.
Week Two: Return to pick up your finished bowls and celebrate at a community ice cream social! Test out your handmade creations with a scoop (or two), connect with fellow participants, and enjoy the simple joy of using something you made yourself.

Recommended for ages 10+, with anyone age 10-13 welcome with an accompanying adult to supervise 1-on-1 for the duration of the class.

<h3>About the Artist:</h3>
LEE is a mixed-media ceramic and fibers artist with focuse on the natural practices of sculpting using color, repetition, and patterning. Lee was born and raised in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and found his home as a 2019 Graduate of the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. He has dedicated his time to education that focuses on community engagement in hopes to encourage the creative mind.
LEE is the Studio Coordinator at Utility Works. Over the past year he has developed the studio into a community space for local artists. He continues his efforts of dedicated creative growth with the partnership of the Lansdowne community and the LEDC.

In collaboration with the Media Arts Council, the Lansdowne Arts Committee presents A Cinematic Point of View, a dynamic group exhibition that reimagines how stories are told through a single frame. Using cinematic tools like lighting, framing, perspective, and mood, the featured artists transform still images into immersive, narrative-driven moments that feel pulled from a larger film.
Showcasing photography and mixed media work, the exhibition brings together both traditional and experimental approaches to visual storytelling—blurring the line between photograph and cinema. Each piece invites viewers to step into a scene, interpret a narrative, and experience how much emotion and story can be contained in a single image.

Limited seating is still available..Jen Chapin has been celebrated for writing “brilliant soulfully poetic urban folk music” by NPR and has spent more than two decades creating songs that are observant, emotionally intuitive, politically aware, and deeply human.
Raised in and around New York City in a family of artists, writers, and musicians, Jen brings a rich creative legacy to her work. Her music blends urban folk, jazz, soul, and storytelling, carried by what critics have called her extraordinary voice and the dynamic musicianship of her band.
Her career has included appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, NPR’s Mountain Stage, WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, WFUV’s Sunday Breakfast with John Platt, and the Bob Edwards Show on Sirius Satellite. She has performed on stage with Bruce Springsteen and shared bills with Aimee Mann, Bruce Hornsby, and The Neville Brothers.
Jen is also deeply connected to activism and community work through her ongoing involvement with WhyHunger, the organization founded by her late father, Harry Chapin. Her songs often reflect that same commitment to justice, family, history, and the world around us.
For this performance, Jen Chapin will be joined by GRAMMY-nominated bassist Stephan Crump and acclaimed electric guitarist Jamie Fox for a cabaret-style evening of urban folk songs titled Anything Goes, and How Did We Get Here? The two-set show weaves historically informed, jazz-inspired questions about our current moment with selections from Jen’s critically acclaimed catalog.

Opening the evening is Lucy Rellosa, winner of the 2025 Havertown Voice. At just 15 years old, Lucy has been playing music since age four and has performed locally and regionally as both a soloist and in a duet with her sister, including appearances at the Delco Gives Telethon and Haverford First Fest. Through years of studying violin, guitar, and voice, she has developed her skills as a singer-songwriter and composes her own original music.

Join The Savoy Company in celebrating our 125th anniversary year with Gilbert &amp; Sullivan’s uplifting operetta,&nbsp;The Gondoliers!&nbsp;in the Open Air Theatre at Longwood Gardens. Set in Venice and the fictional kingdom of Barataria, the plot centers on two gondoliers, Marco and Giuseppe, who discover that one of them is the rightful king but cannot determine which. They agree to rule jointly until the true monarch can be identified, allowing Gilbert to satirize monarchy, aristocracy, and British political institutions. The show is especially noted for its unusually warm tone and emphasis on equality, reflecting contemporary late-Victorian debates about class and governance.
Through its witty dialogue, lively ensemble numbers, and playful mockery of aristocracy and political systems, the operetta celebrates equality while poking fun at rigid class distinctions and the pretensions of monarchy.
Premiered in 1889, The Gondoliers is the twelfth collaboration between librettist W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan. The show ran for 554 performances, making it one of the duo’s most successful later works.
Introducing Stage Director Grant Mech and Choreographer Rebecca Malcolm-Naib, whose inventive vision brings The Gondoliers to life in a masterful comedy that sparkles under the outstanding baton of Music Director Peter Hilliard and a superb professional orchestra. Produced by William Kader, the production is enhanced by a striking, professionally designed set and delightfully charming costumes.

Jeffrey Osborne
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Jeffrey Osborne was the youngest of 12 children and was surrounded by music as he was growing up. He had five brothers and six sisters, some of whom went on to have music careers. His father, Clarence “Legs” Osborne, was a popular trumpeter who sat in with the likes of Lionel Hampton and Duke Ellington and turned down many top band offers during his career to be with his family, he passed away when Jeffrey was only 13. At the age of 15, Jeffrey sat in with the O’Jays when the drummer was unable to perform to their standards, and went on to play with them for two weeks. That was all the inspiration Osborne needed to pursue a musical career. 
Osborne’s solo career has brought him four grammy nominations, five gold and platinum albums, including his debut self entitled album ” Jeffrey Osborne”, “Stay with Me Tonight” and “Only Human”. He scored an international hit with “On the Wings of Love” in 1982. After his six albums released on A&amp;M during the ’80s, he moved to Arista for Only Human (1990), then switched to a series of independent labels. His releases during the 2000s included ” That’s for Sure” (2000) and “Music Is Life” (2003), as well as cover albums ” From the Soul “(2005) and “A Time for Love” (2013). His latest project entitled “Worth It All” was released in 2018 on Mack Avenue Records , this project was written and produced by Jeffrey Osborne , with the exception of one song entitled ” Work It” which was co-written with his son Jeffrey Osborne Jr. who also performed on the track with him. This project, inspired by the late great George Duke has taken Osborne back to his deep R&amp;B roots.
Currently Jeffrey Osborne is actively performing and touring around the world. In 2012 Osborne founded The Jeffrey Osborne Foundation and the Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic. The primary mission is to benefit nonprofit organizations who support a continued push for music and arts to children and their families, as well as those who provide a safe haven for families in need. In the past nine years through his Celebrity Golf Tournament the Jeffrey Osborne Foundation has donated over $1,000,000 to various charities in Rhode Island.

They say a man’s “soul” is his spiritual essence. Life’s twists and turns can lift that soul high into the sky or send it crashing to the ground below. Unfortunately, 2023 started with the latter for Will Downing, following the unexpected and soul-crushing loss of daughter Aron Siobhan Downing in January. As a father, he was devastated… heartbroken. As an artist, he sought solace and comfort through his craft, facing the hurt head-on and exploring multiple themes of love to begin the healing. Persevering through the pain, The Prince of Sophisticated Soul has shared his 7- song masterclass in triumph over tragedy, Soul Rising!
Celebrating an insane 35 years in the “bizness” and 27 Albums to his credit Will Downing will not be stopped! Flexing on his international appeal, the lead single “What Part of My Love” shot to the top of the UK Soul Chart Top 30 and parked there. Those who no longer listen to new releases as the collective work it was intended to be, should make an exception in this case. Although not a “concept” album, the pieces of Soul Rising fit together beautifully as a single statement and should be enjoyed as such. We all know the about the smoothness, but there’s a brand-new kind of… dare I say… “Funkiness”, that I think is here to stay!
You (and your speakers, headphones, etc.) will feel the difference right off the jump, with the lead-off cut, “Closer to Me”, when that bass and drum starts hitting a little differently. The familiar writing and production tandem of Downing and guitarist Randy Bowland, turn the heat up a bit from their usual formula. With keyboardist Mike Logan Sr. and background vocalist Ms. Monet rounding out the groove, I dare you not to move somethin’! 
Soul Rising then takes a solemn turn to the heart and very “Soul” of this release. Downing, maybe for his own well-being, had to stare his tragedy down squarely and turn art into therapy. “Till We Meet Again”, serves as a father’s sweet hand-off to God to care for his angel Siobhan, until they’re joined again divinely as father and daughter in heavenly reward. An unimaginable undertaking for a parent attempting to channel pain into art. The song is introduced by the actual last New Year’s Day last voicemail exchanged by Downing and Siobhan, which contain no hint of the drama to unfold just 10 days later. Downing makes the song a true family affair, with daughter Aja and wife Audrey Wheeler Downing lending their supportive voices. A passionately moving albeit gut-wrenching tribute, but well done. 
Family… Will Downing dug deep for this one. Even down to the Album cover a original piece of artwork by Frank Morrison. Realize, recognize and appreciate a real man, a real artist and a real father with his Soul Rising!
