Juniper Village at Lebanon Recognized for Commitment to IU13 Work Immersion Program
Program empowers students with disabilities through hands-on training, skill development, and real-world employment experience

[Lebanon, PA] – Juniper Village at Lebanon was recently recognized at the IU13 Partnership Appreciation Luncheon for its continued commitment to the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU13) Work Immersion Program.
The Work Immersion Program is a collaborative initiative designed to prepare students with disabilities for employment after graduation. It combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience in real workplace settings. The goal is to support students in building vocational ability while also strengthening independent living skills and long-term career readiness.
Students participate in structured job rotations throughout Juniper Village at Lebanon. These rotations allow them to experience different departments, including housekeeping, environmental services, dining services, and property maintenance. Students are placed in roles based on their individual readiness and learning goals. Each placement is supported by educators, job trainers, and on-site supervisors who work together to guide progress and ensure a consistent learning environment.
