BRISTOL, PA —The historic Grundy Mill Complex —operating under Grundy Commons —has been sold in a $13.4 million deal, according to reports.

The industrial complex was built between 1880 and 1912 as a textile mill, which manufactured some of the finest wool and worsted fabrics in the world, Grundy's website states.

The 186' high iconic clock tower is considered one of the icons of Lower Bucks County and serves as a beacon for those who use the nearby SEPTA rail service at the Bristol Train Station.

TESCO's owners said they feared the company would have to move if Grundy Commons was sold to another company.

The property is bordered by the Delaware Canal and Lagoon Park with jogging trails and is less than 1 mile from the entrances to Route 95 and the Interstate 276 entrance.

Fred Baumgarten purchased the Grundy Mill in 1981 and redeveloped it, the Grundy website states. The complex was rebranded as the Grundy Commons.
