Styer Orchard Starting Fourth Of July Fireworks, Celebration

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Happy Early Fourth of July!

Styer Orchard —known for its sunflowers and hayrides —is expanding into the summer holiday season.

The orchard at 97 Styers Lane in Langhorne announced Tuesday that after "working on something big all winter," there's going be a 4th of July at the farm.

Styer Orchard said it will hold its first Fourth of July celebration from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, with events and activities down at the farm and in the field by the store.

There will be a DJ, kids' games, face painting, cornhole, balloon animals, a parade for the kids, Men of Harmony Choir, hayrides, and more. Aristaeus Brewing will sell its locally brewed beer as well.

Styer Orchard will be open on July 4 at the store for all of its food offerings.

"We’ll also be grilling down at the farm where most of the excitement will be," organizers said.

Organizers said the celebration will be a ticketed event with tickets needing to be purchased in advance. Tickets will go on sale soon and will be $4 per person.

"This is so we can keep a cap on the crowd and make sure this is a safe and fun evening for everyone involved," organizers said.

After Men of Harmony finishes singing some patriotic songs, the event will conclude with a fireworks show.

More information will be provided as the event draws near, organizers said.

"I’ve been dreaming of a very family-friendly, old-school, Americana-style 4th of July and we’ll be doing our best to throw a nice party," organizers said. "This is the start of something great and we’ll continue to add to this every year."

Styer Orchard said the celebration is the work of many people and local businesses, including Kanga Roof-PA, ECI Comfort Solutions, Megan Wajda Remax, and Stocker Tree Service.
