$23.5M in Funding Coming To Lower Bucks Co. Communities

U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has secured funding for numerous projects throughout Lower Bucks County.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Several Lower Bucks County communities will receive $23.5 million in federal funding for community-driven projects across Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District.

U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick secured the funding as part of the Community Project Funding process for the 119th Congress and was included in the House-passed Fiscal Year 2026 bipartisan spending package.

The total package is for over $27.5 million to fund 11 community-driven projects, including one in Doylestown.

Five Lower Bucks County communities will receive funding for projects addressing local priorities such as public safety, emergency response, infrastructure resilience, housing stability, and environmental protection.

“Every project included here began with a conversation in the community,” Fitzpatrick said, adding that over the past year, he has met with local leaders, first responders, advocates, and service organizations to understand where needs are the greatest and where federal investment can make the strongest difference.

These are the funding projects in Lower Bucks County:

  • Bensalem Township will receive $4 million for a new fire station.
  • Bristol Borough will receive $2 million for a consolidated fire station.
  • Bristol Township will receive $2 million to expand and modernize Bucks County’s only 24/7 emergency homeless shelter.
  • Bristol Township will receive $5 million for the Haines Bridge project to restore a critical transportation link.
  • The African American Community Center of Bucks County at Boone Farm will receive $2 million.
  • The United Way of Bucks County’s HELP Center in Bristol Township will receive $1.25 million.
  • Lower Makefield Township will get $5.211 million for stormwater management construction.
  • Middletown Township will receive $2 million for a public works complex.
