3 New Coronavirus Deaths In Bucks Co. Sunday

Both Bucks County and Pennsylvania reported fewer new COVID-19 cases on Sunday compared to recent days.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Three more deaths due to the new coronavirus were reported in Bucks County on Sunday, bringing the county's total to 38.

The deaths came on a day when both Bucks County and Pennsylvania reported decreased numbers of new COVID-19 cases compared to recent days. Bucks County reported 59 new positive test results on Sunday, bringing the county total to 1,220.

According to county officials, the three people whose deaths were reported Sunday were a 72-year-old woman, a 72-year-old man and a 90-year-old man. All of them had underlying health conditions, officials said.

In Bucks, 86 people were hospitalized for the coronavirus on Sunday — 24 of them in critical condition and on ventilators. A total of 191 people have been confirmed to have recovered from the virus in Bucks County so far.

Dr. David Damsker, director of the Bucks County Health Department, said that healthcare workers and residents of congregate living facilities continue to be leading victims of the coronavirus, which has been detected in 30 such facilities across the county.
