3 Cars Stolen, Multiple Thefts From Vehicles Reported In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Three cars were stolen and multiple thefts from vehicles were reported across the township Saturday night into Sunday morning, the Middletown Township Police Department is reporting.

The incidents began in the southern end of the township near Veterans Highway and New Falls Road and later spread to the northern end, off of Route 413 and near Langhorne-Yardley and Township Line roads, including areas around Maple Point and Laurel Oaks.

In several cases, police said suspects entered unlocked vehicles and removed items. Three vehicles were also reported stolen, all of which had key fobs left inside.

Police said one of the stolen vehicles was tracked by officers and recovered in Trenton, N.J., where evidence was collected as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police said they are actively investigating the incidents, utilizing automated license plate readers, surveillance footage, and coordination with Trenton Police and other New Jersey agencies experiencing similar crimes.

In light of the weekend thefts, police urge residents to take the following steps to safeguard their property:

  • Always lock your vehicle doors, even when parked at home
  • Remove key fobs and never leave them inside your vehicle
  • Keep valuables out of sight
  • Report any suspicious activity immediately
