36 Bucks Co. Docs Now Approved For PA Medical Marijuana Program

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has updated its list of physicians approved to certify patients to participate in the state's Medical Marijuana Program. There are now 36 doctors in Bucks County that have been approved to participate.

Patients who want to access medical marijuana must obtain a physician's certification from an approved doctor proving that they suffer from one of 17 serious medical conditions. A registration process is then required for patients to receive a medical marijuana card, allowing them access to state-licensed dispensaries.

A dispensary will be opening Tuesday in Sellersville, Bucks County.

As of Feb. 12, the following Bucks County physicians are approved to certify patients for the program:
