Pennsbury Appoints New School Director

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The Pennsbury School Board has appointed a replacement to fill the vacancy left by a longtime member who resigned last month.

Colin P. Marsh — a longtime culinary arts teacher at Bucks County Technical High School — was sworn in at last Thursday night's meeting by Senior District Judge Jan Vislosky.

Marsh replaces longtime board member T.R. Kannan by filling the Region 1 seat in Lower Makefield Township.

In his biography provided by the school district, Marsh is an accomplished educator and certified executive chef with over 45 years of experience in the food service industry.

He is a dedicated teacher, mentor, and leader with a 21-year tenure in vocational education, specializing in curriculum development, budget management, and student mentorship.

Marsh's professional background includes:

Bucks County Technical High School | Fairless Hills, PA Culinary Arts Instructor / Health and Human Service Academy Chair, Mentor Teacher | Sept 2004 – June 2025-retired
● Instructed 11th and 12th-grade students in culinary arts techniques, assessments and professional standards.
● Authored and executed a comprehensive two-year culinary curriculum and developed all associated learning guides and assessments.
● Launched and managed a student-operated community-based takeout business and in-house restaurant to provide real-world training.
● Worked with industry professionals to set up co-op and employment positions for students
● Served as Service Academy Chair (appointed 2010), overseeing the Health and Human Services Academy and collaborating with administration on budgets and policy.
● Operated an Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) of industry professionals, sought industry feedback to improve the program.
● Directed daily operations for a private university club, managing a staff of 25.
● Authored annual budgets, managed payroll, and oversaw all financial disbursements.
● Collaborated with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement long-term club policies.
● Managed all foodservice operations, including menu planning for undergraduate/graduate events.
● Maintained strict adherence to budgetary goals while supervising all food production.
● Directed food service operations for an elite private boarding school in Manhattan.

His community affiliations include:
