MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Route 1 milling and paving will take place at night this week, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that the roadwork is planned on Route 1 below Interstate 295 under a $37.4 million project to perform high-priority repairs on interstate bridges, to maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along critical corridors.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
• Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions approaching the I-295 Interchange.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
