FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Pennsbury High School West was evacuated early on Wednesday morning due to heavy smoke coming from a classroom, school officials said.
Campus Principal Reggie Meadows informed the Pennsbury High School community that at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, a science experiment was being conducted in one of the classrooms at PHS West resulted in a large amount of smoke that triggered the fire alarm.
School officials said students and staff followed the school district's evacuation procedures and returned to their classrooms once the Falls Township Fire Department gave the all-clear signal.
Meadows commended students and staff for remaining calm and safely following the evacuation procedures and thanked the Falls Township Fire Department for its quick response.
