Shooting Under Investigation In Bristol Township

Bristol Township Police said a vehicle involved in the shooting may also be connected with a robbery the day before.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Bristol Township Police are investigating a shooting early on Friday in the area of New Falls Road and Woerner Avenue in the township's Levittown section.

Police responded at 1:22 a.m. on Friday to the report of shots fired from a vehicle in the 3600 block of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.

Police said a driver reported following a black Kia Forte after a suspicious occurrence at his home on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.

He told police that a passenger in the vehicle fired multiple shots at his vehicle while they were traveling on New Falls Road near Woerner Avenue.

Police found damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

At 3 a.m., the suspected vehicle was located by a neighboring jurisdiction, and a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was detained without incident and later interviewed by police at Bristol Township Police Headquarters. No charges
have been filed to date.

Police are handling the investigation along with an unrelated robbery that occurred in the Magnolia Hills section of
Levittown on Thursday at 6:51 p.m., which involved the same vehicle.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
