BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A motorcyclist was killed after striking a car on Veterans Highway on Tuesday night, police said.
The Bristol Township Police Department responded at 5:58 p.m. to the report of a crash involving a motorcycle in the area of 4001 Veterans Highway.
Lt. Patrick Kitchenman said that a preliminary investigation showed that a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta was heading northbound on Veterans Highway and was stopped in the center left-hand turn lane waiting to turn.
A 2001 Harley Davidson was heading south on Veterans Highway and entered the center turn lane around traffic
and struck the driver’s side front corner of the Volkswagen, police said.
Police said the motorcycle driver — a 46-year-old man who was not identified — was taken by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to Lower Bucks Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police said the Volkswagen driver remained on the scene and was cooperating with police.
