FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — For 41 years, the American flags have flown at the Jesse E. Hill Flag Memorial.
State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and his staff helped get the memorial at Falls Township Park ready for Flag Day on Sunday.
They showed up on Friday to help plant flags.
Over 65,000 flags were planted by volunteers in the shape and size of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
Each flag represents an American killed or missing in action during the Vietnam War.
"It was a really hot day, over 90 degrees, so I'd like to especially thank my staff and all of the volunteers who came out to plant flags in honor of our veterans," he said.
