FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The new Pennsbury High School remains on schedule to open in September 2029.
School officials provided an update on the new $269.5 million high school that will replace the current East and West high school campuses.
"We remain on schedule and on budget for a September 2029 opening," school officials said.
Construction is continuing on the West building pad in preparation for the concrete foundation. The building pad for the Academic Core is also under construction, officials said.
Work has also started on an underground basin, which will be under the main parking lot. Meanwhile, sewer, drainage, and other utility work is underway throughout the job site.
The school district has been providing weekly progress videos to allow the community to follow along as the new high school takes shape.
Concrete foundations and footings will begin to be poured in the next two weeks in preparation for the steel that will be installed later this fall.
