MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The township's aging Public Works complex will be getting some funding for a new building.
U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has secured $2 million in federal Community Project Funding to replace the township's Public Works Complex, which was built in the 1960s.
The new complex will provide expanded operational space and accommodations for daytime fire and emergency services operations, allowing for faster, more coordinated emergency response.
"Our Public Works Complex has served this community for more than six decades, and its replacement is critical to maintaining the essential services our residents depend on," Middletown Township Supervisor Dana Kane said.
Fitzpatrick said that improving the infrastructure of those dealing with emergency readiness is critical for communities in Lower Bucks County.
"We are strengthening the services our residents rely on now and building a safer, stronger community for generations to come," the congressman said.
