BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Three anti-bullying elementary school specialists have been hired by the Bristol Township School District to focus on putting practices and approaches in place that prevent bullying and build positive relationships for the district’s youngest students.

The school board approved the grant-funded positions for the anti-bullying and school climate specialists at its Sept. 18 meeting.

The main role of the specialists is to lead the investigation of incidents of harassment, intimidation, and bullying in each school; and to act as the primary school staff member responsible for preventing, identifying, and addressing incidents of harassment, intimidation, and bullying in the school, Schools Superintendent Michael Nitti said.

He said they'll also be responsible for coordinating and strengthening the school’s policies to prevent, identify, and address harassment, intimidation, and bullying of students, and help establish a positive school culture.

The three specialists hired are:

  • Victoria Livolsi —Livolsi assumes the role at Mill Creek Elementary School. Livolsi has been with the district since 2014 and was most recently a 4th-grade teacher at Mill Creek. She is SAP (Student Assistant Program) certified through the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania and has extensive experience with culture and climate initiatives. Livolsi earned a bachelor's degree in crime, law, and justice from Penn State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Neumann University.
  • Steve Pierce —Pierce will be the Anti-Bullying/School Climate Specialist at Keystone. Pierce comes to Keystone from Armstrong, where he was a Technology Teacher and highly involved in the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program. Pierce earned his bachelor’s degree at Temple University and a master’s degree in school counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University.
  • Amanda Guida —Guida will serve the students and school community at Brookwood in this new role. Guida has been a World Language/Literacy teacher at Truman High School since 2008, where she was a key member of the school’s Student Supports Core Team and Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Core Team. Guida has a bachelor's degree from Rosemont College and a master’s degree of education from Cabrini University.

“We are excited to welcome Victoria, Steve, and Amanda to these new roles, and look forward to them doing great work with our students,” Nitti said.
