FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —With the start of the fishing season, Falls Township Community Park will soon be a one-stop-shop for fishing enthusiasts.
Falls Township Supervisors recently unanimously approved two vending machines that will stock bait and tackle supplies.
The two machines will be next to the park security shed, which is located across the road from the boat ramp at Falls Township Community Park.

Electricity is available within the shed and will be used to power the machines.
Falls Township would not own and operate the machines. Instead, supervisors have authorized a park patron to install the machines and be responsible for their stocking and general upkeep.

Depending on how well the machines fare, Township Manager Matthew Takita said the township would discuss a profit-sharing initiative with the owner beginning in 2025.
Supervisors Chairperson Erin Mullen said the addition of fishing supply vending machines is long
overdue.
“The community wants it,” Mullen said.
“Absolutely, I’m sure there’s a need,” Supervisor Jeff Dence said. “It’s a great addition.”
