Body Discovered Along Delaware River In Falls Township: Police

Falls Township Police said a boater spotted the body at low tide between the Delaware River and Biles Creek Tuesday afternoon.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —The body of an adult male was discovered on the westward shore of a tidal pool between the Delaware River and Biles Creek Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The Falls Township Police Department was called to the area of 2300 South Pennsylvania Ave. at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a body by Biles Creek.

Police said that a boater in the area spotted the body at low tide and called 911.

Patrol officers and detectives worked with area fire rescue teams to place a boat in the water and recover the remains, Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney said.

The body was recovered and transported across the sandbar and Delaware River to a boat ramp where the Bucks County Coroner’s Office took custody.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck told Patch Wednesday that the body is of an adult male.

She said the coroner's office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
