Bomb Threat Causes Bucks Co. Court Evacuation

The Bristol Township District Court was evacuated due to a bomb threat Tuesday morning, county officials said.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Bristol Township's District Court was evacuated Tuesday due to a bomb threat, Bucks County officials said.

Stephen D. Watson, Bucks County's district court administrator in Doylestown, said in a statement to Patch that Court 07-1-03 was the subject of a bomb threat Tuesday morning.

Watson said the building of the court, where Magisterial District Judge Kevin Wagner presides, was evacuated immediately, and law enforcement was notified.

He said the building was cleared by Bristol Township Police and normal operations resumed a short time later.

"The court wishes to thank court employees and law enforcement for their immediate response and the public for understanding the temporary closure," Watson said in the statement.
