Students were dismissed early for the day, Stanley said.

The school has 2,777 students.

The school district posted on Facebook just before 3 p.m. about the threat, saying it was a "hoax" and that the police concluded their search.

The following activities will be held at the high school Wednesday night:

  • Tawanka Concert (Theodore Kloos Auditorium)
