Bomb Threat At Pennsbury High School Under Investigation

Pennsbury Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith said a bomb threat was called in to the district on Tuesday night.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The Pennsbury School District — plagued by threats this year — once again received another one on Tuesday night.

Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith informed the Pennsbury High School community about a Level 1 (Low-Level Safety Concern) incident that occurred on Tuesday night.

Smith said someone left a phone message from a blocked number stating they were going to “bring a bomb to school tomorrow.”

He said that same person left a follow-up message 10 minutes later saying they were “only kidding.”

Police were notified and are investigating the threat, Smith said.

"This is not believed to be a credible threat," Smith said, adding that an extra police presence is on the high school campus on Wednesday.

"As you are aware, we take every threat seriously and investigate each situation thoroughly in partnership with law enforcement. The safety and security of our students and staff are of utmost importance to us," Smith said. "To this end, we are committed to communicating with you about school safety precautions."
