Bristol Fire Co. Consolidation Bolstered By $700K In State Funding
Bristol Borough is consolidating its four borough fire stations into one station. The borough also received funds for flood prevention.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA —The borough has received more than $1 million in state funds with two checks presented at the recent Bristol Borough Council meeting.
State Sen. Steve Santarsiero —along with State Rep. Tina Davis and Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie —presented the checks for two important projects in the borough.
The first project calls for the consolidation of the four borough fire stations into one station, with Santarsiero securing $700,000 in state funding.

The new, centralized location will allow emergency services to reach all parts of the borough more easily and the reduced operating costs of a single facility will provide an increased benefit to the community, borough officials said.
The second project is for flood mitigation along Adams Hollow Creek.

The borough will receive $500,000 for that project, which will improve flood safety around Adams Hollow Creek is necessary to ensure safety for the community, as well as its many surrounding businesses and natural resources, officials said.
