Bristol Highway To Get $884K In Upgrades

Funding from the project came from the state Multimodal Transportation Fund, Gov. Tom Wolf announced on Tuesday.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A highway in Bristol is going to get some upgrades thanks to the state of Pennsylvania's transportation fund, Gov. Tom Wolf announced Tuesday.

The roughly $884,000 in state money will go toward work on U.S. Rt. 13 from the Croydon train station to Jane Avenue. It will be getting pedestrian-safety and mobility upgrades, including sidewalks, traffic-calming measures and stormwater improvements, the governor's office announced.

The stretch of highway in Bristol is one of 42 highway, bridge, transit, port and waterway projects announced Tuesday. They'll be funded by $49 million from the state's Multimodal Transportation Fund.
