Brownsville Road PECO Project To Last 4 Months

PennDOT said a section of the key Lower Bucks County Road will be closed for several hours weekly, starting on Thursday.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A PECO Energy project will have Brownsville Road closed for several hours each day through the end of June, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that utility construction on Brownsville Road will start Thursday and run through June 30.

That will prompt the closure of Brownsville Road between Playwicki Street and Broadview Avenue weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

PennDOT said drivers of the road should take the detour route of Old Lincoln Highway to Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Bridgetown Pike) to Bristol Road.

Local access will be maintained. PennDOT said drivers should allow extra travel time, as delays and backups are possible.
